Vegan Presence Review (September 2013)

Vegan Presence is a subscription box that covers all kinds of things -- beauty, snacks, and other fun goodies. (In other words, it's monthly vegan presents. Get it?!) I already love getting goodies in the mail, but surprise goodies are even better. Plus, Vegan Presence ensures that every single item is cruelty-free, eco-friendly, and free of animal ingredients, making it a company that jives with my personal ethics!

For more info about the box and what kinds of products are inside, check out their website here. (By the way -- you don't have to identify as vegan to enjoy this box! That just describes the products that it comes with, which anybody can use!)

Vegan Presence - Sept 2013 Review

Andrea was kind enough to send me the September box, which was curated by Sunny over at Vegan Beauty Review, one of my go-to sites! I was so excited to get it in the mail and see what was inside. I have a hunch that this particular box leans a little more into the beauty side of things, since that's Sunny's specialty, which is, of course, totally fine by me.

Vegan Presence - Sept 2013 Review

Beanfields Chips

These are basically guilt-free, vegan Doritos. Absolutely delicious! And yes, I definitely ate them as soon as I opened my box. No shame. They are that good. These chips are primarily made with black and navy beans and rice, so far less unhealthy than similar chip brands, and nutritionally packs a punch with 4g of both fiber and protein. Yum! If I see these at a store near me I'll have to stock up.

Mystical House Scrub

I love that this scrub has only basic ingredients -- coffee, raw cacao, and sweet almond oil -- and that it was made in El Paso! It makes it feel like the creators are right down the road. This scrub smells and feels amazing, like a luxurious chocolate face mask! I'll definitely be adding it to my Operation: Get Perfect Skin routine.

MuLondon Moisturizer

Another product to aid in my perpetual quest of smelling like dessert! This moisturizer has shea butter, coconut butter, and jojoba oil, all very beneficial for keeping skin hydrated. I also love the scent -- white chocolate truffle -- and the compact size, making it easy to travel with. I've been looking for a new moisturizer for a while, so we'll see if this one does the trick for my dry skin!

Schmidt's Deodorant

I may be one of the few people to get excited about deodorant, but seriously, finding one with my requirements (vegan, cruelty-free, no aluminum, no parabens...) was difficult. I actually wound up purchasing one of those crystal rock deodorants just because it was simple, but I missed smelling fresh and clean. This deodorant is creamy and applies with your fingers, and smells natural, but fresh. If you are a fan of woody scents, this is for you! I'm excited to try it out and see how I like it and how it compares to my rock.

Conclusion

Vegan Presence is a wonderful concept and I love the products that were chosen in this month's box! I think getting samples of new products to try is not only fun, but can open you up to new products you may not have known about before. Vegan Presence is especially useful if you are seeking cruelty-free or vegan products, which can be limited at your typical grocery store or drug store.

I also love that Vegan Presence includes a wide variety of products, including food, home goods, and beauty goods, from businesses of all sizes. I get lots of feel-good fuzzies from this box, knowing that I'm supporting small businesses, being kind to the environment, and using products that don't hurt animals!

A subscription would be an awesome gift to yourself or to anybody you know that appreciates eco- and animal-friendly products.
