Daily Outfit: Giving Thanks

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving always comes right at the perfect time for me. When school stress has reached its peak, when there seems to be no light at the end of the study tunnel, when I miss my family and friends so much I could burst... that's always when Thanksgiving break arrives.

I'm totally behind the idea of giving thanks for all the wonderful things in our lives. I keep a gratitude journal and try to write in it every day. I truly believe that being grateful for the little things in your life makes you notice and search for more reasons to be happy. Thanksgiving merges that concept plus one of my favorite passions -- good food. Combining all that with family and friends makes for a wonderful time!

Giving Thanks

Today, I am thankful for pumpkin pie, autumn color combinations, and nail polish. I am thankful that I have surrounded myself with a loving and supportive family, generous and kind friends, and a partner who pushes me to be my very best.

I am thankful for heating pads in cold nights and learning to embrace the best parts of a far-too-chilly season. I am thankful to be able to look at the past year with pride at all of my accomplishments. I am thankful I am graduating early and with so much to look forward to.

Giving Thanks

I am so thankful for hooping and yoga, which keep me sane in the roughest times. I am thankful for being so lucky and truly loving the life I live.

I hope you have a lot to be grateful for, both on this Thanksgiving weekend and through all of your days!

Do you keep a gratitude journal?

I love mine! I am always looking for reasons to smile so I can write them down later. It's a tool that really helps me look for the bright side and stay in the present moment. What about you?

  1. I don't keep a gratitude journal but I do keep a journal in which I write all my experiences and gratitudes!

    1. I find regular journaling to be so daunting! Although, when I do it consistently, I find it's really good for looking back on things. :)
